N-benzyl isopropylamine can be used as an intermediate in compound synthesis and as a precursor in the production of certain drugs. Due to its similarity in appearance and physical properties to methamphetamine, it has been brought under DEA consideration in recent years for Chemicalbook. N-benzyl isopropylamine forms an amine admixture with magnesium in toluene at room temperature. Bis (cyclopentadienyl) magnesium was prepared and characterized using N-benzyl isopropylamine as ligand. It is also used in the synthesis of N-benzyl isopropylamine. |
